M/Y Maria is a 2022 build by Magnolia Yachts in Istanbul, Turkey and was originally named Magnolia One. Best described as “neo-classical design inspired by traditional trawlers” by Boat International, this 79’ (24m) pocket superyacht’s striking exterior design and naval architecture by Taka Yacht Design hark back to the yachting’s early days. She features a classic Acajou mahogany hull and timeless lines, with a dark green hull that pairs well with her dark wood accents.Powered by two Cummins 610HP QSM11 engines, Maria has a top speed of 14 knots, comfortably cruising at 12.5. She has a range of 1,800 nautical miles, and with a shallow draft of 1.6m, she’s capable of cruising even the shallow waters of The Bahamas, though she’s just as well suited for a Mediterranean summer season. She enjoyed smooth sailing thanks to Zero Speed stabilizers. On deck, Maria has plenty of space for dining, socializing and relaxing in the sun. Stepping up from the swim platform, there is a shaded cockpit with U-shaped seating and a table for up to 12. A secondary dining space and adjacent bar are located on the sundeck. Her open aft deck is perfect for lounging in the sun and has storage for her tender — she comes with two. Above, her spacious flybridge has seating for up to 10 and a wet bar. Of course, her teak decking has been meticulously maintained and adds to her golden-age charm.This exterior old-world charm carries through to her interiors. Her interiors are light and airy thanks to white satin laquer and light oak details — a theme continued throughout. Her inviting salon is illuminated by large windows, and divided from the cockpit by a beautiful mahogany door. A skylight adds further light but also benefits from a black-out curtain should the need arise. Maria can accommodate up to six guests across three cabins including a full-beam master suite — considerable at 20’ (6.4m) and located midships. This suite has an en-suite bathroom with marble shower and ample storage. Both guest cabins also have an en-suite bathroom each. There is additional accommodation for up to three crew.
